Hon. Ajang Lauds Industrial Revolution In Cross River, Said Ayade’s Policies Discourages Unemployment

Lawmaker representing Bekwara State Constituency at the Cross River State House of Assembly, Hon Edward Ajang has lauded the industrialization strides of Governor Ben Ayade in the last four and the halve years in office.

Ajang who stated this at the event heralding the presentation of the Leadership Newspaper Governor of the Year to the Cross River State Governor, Sir Benedict Bengiourshuye Ayade held at the International Conference Centre, Central Business District, Abuja, maintained that the Governor has transformed Cross River from a civil service based state to an agrarian economy.

He stated that the “the Governor has clearly demonstrated his prowess by transforming Cross River from the former status of civil service state to an agrarian society, clearly today there is no local government that you can’t find an industry domicile and functioning from the estuaries of Bakassi to the hills of Obanliku”

“This is one governor that has come to show Cross River State that each local government have unique resources that can be harness for the benefit of mankind by establishing industries and this has come to discourage the unemployment crisis we have in the state”

The Parliamentarian while expressing joy over the selection of Governor Ayade by a reputable Newspaper as Leadership for such an honour noted that the evident of his honour could be seeing in the lives of the people of the state.

Speaking further, the Bekwarra-born politician said the rise in employment rates of Cross Riverians has reduce the insecurity incidences in the state.

He stated that by honouring the Governor is an encouragement to do more to the people of Cross River and indeed Nigerians

In the area of relationship between the Legislature and Executive, the House member said the both arms of government will continue to strive for understanding and cordial relationship so as to proffer the dividends of democracy needed so much by the people.

However, some of the award presented in different category by the Leadership Newspaper were: the Leadership Young Person of the Year, Lear Sharibu, Dapchi School girl still in captivity, Burna Boy received the Leadership Artiste of the Year, Leadership Sports Person of the Year was given to Di Tigress, meanwhile Leadership Rice of the Year was Tiamin rice.

Other awards were Mainwan as Leadership Company of the Year, Airtel as Leadership Brand of the Year, Dr. Maikanti Baru (former GMD of NNPC) as Leadership CEO of the Year, Access Bank as Leadership Bank of the Year among others.

The event was highly graced by dignitaries from all over the country including the Governor of Adamawa State, Governor Fintiri, GMD of NNPC, Mele Kyari, former speaker, House of Representative, Yakubu Dogara, Royal Fathers, captains of industries and politicians
