Cross River State Safety of Workers Bill today scale through first reading at the State House of Assembly.
The bill which among others seeks the safety of workers both at the Ministries, Departments, Agencies and Parastatals( MDAs) as well as private establishments and corporations is intended at explicitly stressed the welfare of workers regarding their health competencies and as well tackle work-related hazards.
The bill according to lawmakers, if passed and assented to, by the governor will afford the state worker the enabling environment which will in return add to the growth the state economy in view of the work-friendly environment.
Also read for the first time was the Cross River State Bureau of Statistics (Amendment No. 2) Bill.
