In a quest to address some of the societal malaise such as moral decadence, acculturation and religious misconception, an apostolic clergy, Pastor Eta Etim Edet has called on Christians all over the world to be more practical in following Christ.
Apostle Edet who stated this in Calabar in a chat with journalists ahead of his book launch entitled; “Christian Growth and Maturity, A Practical Approach to Becoming a Mature Christian” said Christians and non Christians must learn how to inculcate true values to the young generation, adding that Christians must learn how to accept unbelievers.
He however advised Christians to accept the processes of growth as a guide to spiritual maturity as well as showcasing their faith and make it practical.
Apostle Edet who is the Akpabuyo Field Superintendent of the Apostolic Church therefore admonished Christians to stop living double live and act like Christ.
“Many people said they are Christians because they go to church, but when you look at their lives its not different from the unbelievers’’ he stressed.
Analyzing the 150-page book, Apostle Edet maintained that Christians should translate the relationship they have with God to their fellow humans, positing that by relating very cordially with unbelievers it will convince them to become Christians.
However, the Chairman planning Committee for the unveiling of the book, Rotarian Dan Nicholas Obun said all arrangements have been concluded preparatory to the official Launch being Sunday the 20th day of October 2019 by 11am at Apostolic Church Akim, Ekong Eta Street Calabar.
