UTI JD AGBA, SECOND LONGEST MONARCH IN THE WORLD NEXT TO QUEEN ELIZABETH 11 OF ENGLAND, LEFT TO STAND FOR HOURS.
Only God knows what will become of this generation, as the issue of morality, honour, respect and courtesy has been slaughtered in the alter of ethnicity, tribalism and trivial politics particularly in Cross River State.
One will wonder why on earth, any young person, be him a present or past political appointee will see someone like Uti JD Agba, whom apart from his contributions in bringing peace to so many communities both in Cross River and beyond, was a Member of the defunct House of Chiefs in the then southeastern state of Nigeria, left to stand for hours at the Cross River State House of Assembly on Tuesday, while very young persons who calls themselves former commissioners and aides sit comfortably.
Uti Agba, who is not only an old man, but also a paramount ruler from the Local Government of the Governor, Ben Ayade, could be dehumanized in such a manner.
The question now is, if JD Agba was an Efik, Efut or Qua Monarch would he have been treated like that?
Ayade, should for once open his eyes to some of the ills done to his people while he goes around pegging them in key places and also fenced them round about himself.
It is unbecoming of the manner people from the Northern part of Cross River are being treated in a state we call our own.
But in all, I give kudos to only one man whom in spite of his age and position left his own sit for Agba, Barr Eden Okon Asim.
The issue of class must completely and drastically abandoned if we fill we want to develop as a people.
